Mental Health Plan and Drug Medi-Cal  - Beneficiary Handbook

Effective January 1, 2025, there will be some significant changes and updates to the Kings County Department of Behavioral Health Member Handbook for Specialty Mental Health Services and Drug Medi-cal. The handbook explains how to access mental health and substance use services, has information about new services including Justice Involved Reentry Services, and includes information regarding client rights and responsibilities for Medi-Cal beneficiaries. There will also be updates to the Language Tagline and Non-Discrimination notice which are made available with the Handbook. The updated Member Handbook, Language Tagline, and Non-Discrimination notice can be found in each of the Kings County Behavioral Health Service provider site lobbies, are available upon request in print at each of the provider sites, and can be found here on our website.
